Scientific studies have shown that Hibiscus may potentially lower blood pressure, increase immunity, and have anti-cancer properties. Above all that, it’s even inexpensive. (1, 2, 3)
A morning smoothie is a great way to get more healthy hibiscus into your daily routine, especially if you aren’t a big fan of tea.
You can make a delicious Hibiscus smoothie out of almost any recipe. Simply brew some tea, put it in a blender, add ice and the fruit of your choice, and you’re there.
But some people find the bright floral taste of Hibiscus a little too bright. This recipe adds a bit of fresh mint to ground the flavor. And you can use almost any fruit, or combination of fruits, in this smoothie. We’ve chosen blackberries. They taste delicious and they are one of the highest fruits in dietary fiber!
