It’s better to wait until you feel the effects of your dose before you try mixing in other over-the-counter drugs. Combining them before you know the effects is not recommended. You also shouldn’t mix Acetaminophen with alcohol or illegal drugs, as this can increase the risk of liver problems.
Just like with any prescription or over-the-counter drug, an overdose can produce dangerous secondary effects. In fact, since 2014, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has warned of severe liver problems from overdoses of Acetaminophen. The suggested dose on the bottle is safe for use. Consult the instructions of any other medications you might be taking to see if there are contraindications with Acetaminophen. It’s very important to read all instructions and follow all recommended usage guidelines.
Acetaminophen is a safe product at recommended doses, with few side effects. It doesn’t generally cause allergic reactions. However, symptoms of an allergic reaction to Acetaminophen have been reported, and consist of swelling of the face, throat, or tongue, skin rashes, or difficulty breathing. If you experience any of these reactions, discontinue usage and contact your doctor.
If you’re using Acetaminophen for joint pain or inflammation, then our Turmeric (Curcumin) supplement is a great choice and a natural way to fight pain and inflammation.
